There's a saying that sometimes you pick the ingredients, and sometimes they pick you. Okay, maybe that isn't a real saying, but the latter was definitely the case in this situation.
I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Wallaby Yogurt and Woodstock Foods. I received a Greek yogurt kefir and two small Greek yogurts of the flavors of my choosing (I went for plain on all of the above so that they're easier to play around with) from Wallaby and medjool dates, shredded coconut, and almond butter from Woodstock. Can you AMAZING ingredients?
I immediately started playing around with them for different things, and then it hit me. Do these ingredients not scream almond joy? Basically all I need is some cocoa powder, and we are good. And of course, I decided to throw in some greens because I can't help myself.
Here's what you'll need:
-1 cup baby spinach
-1/2 banana (frozen is probably ideal but fresh is fine as well)
-1 Woodstock Foods organic medjool date
-1/2 cup of Wallaby nonfat Greek yogurt kefir
-1/2 cup almond milk
-2 tbsp Woodstock Foods unsalted smooth almond butter
-2 tbsp Woodstock Foods organic shredded coconut
-2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1) Add all of the ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth.
2) Pour the smoothie into a bowl or cup and top with desired toppings.
I topped mine with chia seeds, crushed almonds, and a bit more shredded coconut.
