I had just gotten back from the gym, and I was craving the peanut butter banana shake that I posted recently. I go into the kitchen, and, of course, we have no bananas. I had one of those "noooooo" moments, and then finally sucked it up and started thinking of other things to eat. I didn't want a bagel or toast or eggs or anything. I had the mind-set of a stubborn preschooler. I was going to have my shake.
I'm not even sure why no bananas was the end all be all initially. Don't get me wrong, they add a great taste, sweetness, and texture to shakes. But I decided why not just peanut butter and chocolate, a peanut butter cup shake.
Here's what you'll need:
-2/3 cup of ice
-2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
-1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
-1 1/2 tbsp of creamy peanut butter
-1 handful of fresh spinach (about 1/2 cup)
-1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
-1/4 cup of rolled oats
1) Add all ingredients to the blender, and blend away.
As I always say, I like to put the ice and almond milk towards to bottom to get things going in the blender. Let me know what you think, and subscribe to e-mail updated below!
