Annie’s and Cascadian Farms at Walmart

IMG_1259.jpg

This post is sponsored by Walmart, however, all ideas and opinions are my own.

Life can be pretty hectic. Between work, school, friends, kids, etc., we could all use a little help in terms of having enough time, especially when it comes to making smart breakfast choices. That’s where Walmart comes in. I’ve been making stops at my local Walmart to pick up some of my must-have items like fruits and veggies, plus they also carry better for you, organic options like Annie’s and Cascadian Farm.

On my most recent Walmart haul, I picked up Annie’s Cocoa Bunnies and Cascadian Farm Oat and Honey cereals. They’re both certified USDA Organic and absolutely delicious! I enjoyed my Cascadian Farm Oat and Honey with some fresh fruit and unsweetened almond milk before heading out the door. I think we can all agree, nothing beats a 5 minute breakfast!  I also love that this granola is non-GMO with no artificial colors or flavors.

I love my Annie’s Cocoa Bunnies with some milk as well, but I decided to mix things up a bit with these super easy chocolate peanut butter cereal bars. They only require one additional ingredient and will be a recipe that the entire family will love!

You just mix together 2 cups of the Cocoa Bunnies with 1 cup of natural, smooth peanut butter, spread the mixture in a parchment-lined 8x8 baking dish, and freeze for 45 minutes to an hour. Once hardened, remove the mixture, cut it into bars, and enjoy! You can also store them in the freezer until you’re ready to eat them. They make for a great snack or on-the-go, better for you breakfast option, and the kids will love them! Who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate?

Make sure to head to your local Walmart to pick up your Annie’s and Cascadian Farm products along with your other essentials like fruits and veggies. They make breakfast so much easier without compromising quality by using great, organic ingredients. Whether you choose to enjoy them with milk and fresh fruit or give the protein-packed cereal bars a try, you really can’t go wrong!

FlorastorPre and FlorastorPlus Review

As you may know from my previous review, I’ve been taking Florastor, a probiotic for a few months now. It’s become a part of my every day routine, and I honestly love it! I’ve been feeling great, and Florastor is super convenient in that it doesn’t need to be refrigerated like some other probiotics. I can take it with me on the go without having to worry about keeping it cold. My digestion has been great, and I feel like the probiotics have really given my immune system a boost. I really can’t say enough good things about Florastor! So when I was recently introduced to two more of Florastor’s products – FlorasterPre and FlorastorPlus, I obviously had to give them a try.

FlorastorPre is a daily probiotic and fiber supplement. It has a unique prebiotic and probiotic blend which is great for your digestive health. It contains Florastor’s signature probiotic strain, and it has the addition of prebiotic fiber.

FlorastorPlus also contains Florastor’s signature probiotic strain plus zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D3. You get all of the benefits of Florastor’s original probiotic plus an additional immune system boost from the essential vitamins.

I honestly loved both products! I love that they both have the base of Florator’s probiotic, and that each product can cater to something specific depending on what you’re looking for in a supplement. If you feel like you need a bit more of a digestive aid, FlorastorPre’s a great option. If you feel like you need that immunity boost, FlorastorPlus has you covered. And like any Florastor product, they’re super convenient. I’d definitely recommend giving either (or both) a try if you’re looking for a probiotic supplement with that something extra!

23andMe Health + Ancestry Service Review

I was recently sent a Health + Ancestry Service kit from 23andMe to learn a bit more about my background and how it might affect my health. I sent in my sample, waited for a few weeks, and got my results back. I discuss my results, the types of reports, and my experience with 23andMe in the video above.

I was sent this kit for free, but the thoughts and ideas are very much genuinely my own. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if it's something that interests you as well! Let me know if you do try it for yourself in the comments below.

Florastor Daily Probiotic Supplement Review

Probiotics have become a pretty big buzzword these days and for good reason. So what’s the deal exactly? Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when taken in adequate amounts, help restore the balance of the flora in your gut which, when unbalanced, might cause digestive or other health-related issues. They keep things balanced and moving smoothly, helping you to live a happy, healthy life. You can’t really go wrong with that, so I decided to give one a try.

I came across Florastor which is a bit different than other probiotics. It’s the only probiotic with Saccharomyces boulardii lyo CNCM I-745 which is a unique probiotic strain with 60 plus years of use and research. Some advantages that Florastor offers because of this are its ability to aid in the absorption of water and nutrients, break down carbs/fiber, and support a healthy immune. It can also be taken with ALL antibiotics since it is a yeast-based probiotic and not a bacterial probiotic. It’s also super convenient and easy to take. A number of probiotics need to be refrigerated, but Florastor uses a patented freeze-drying process to give it a three-year shelf, letting you skip the fridge. That makes it easy to take with you whether you’re traveling or just busy day to day.

Florastor offers capsules and FlorastorMax which is a powder. I have no problem taking pills, so I opted to try the capsules. Plus you can even just pop open the capsule and pour the contents over some yogurt if taking capsules is an issue for you. It’s super easy and convenient either way!

I’ve been taking the capsules for about a month now, and I’ve been feeling great. I’ve felt healthy and my digestion hasn’t been better! It’s also great because I never have to worry about missing it because I can literally pop the bottle in my bag and head out the door on a busy day since I don’t need to worry about keeping it refrigerated. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking to add a daily probiotic to your life.

Locally, I know that it’s carried at Rite Aid, CVS, and Stop & Shop just to name a few. You can use the store locator over on their website to find a retailer near you. Let me know if you give it a try in the comments below! I’d love to hear you thoughts.
